The Properties Of Light Refractory Brick

Light refractory brick has the characteristics of small density, high porosity, small thermal conductivity, good thermal insulation and a certain pressure strength. Fire clay bricks belong to the light refractory brick which is widely used in heat-treating facility. Below are the properties of light refractory brick.


 

1. Light capacity: the dry capacity of light refractory brick is only 500-700Kg/m3 which is only1/4 of ordinary concrete, 1/3 of clay bricks and 1/2 of hollow blocks.

2. Heat preservation and insulation: In the process of manufacture, the micro pores are formed, which form the air layer in the material, which greatly improves the effect of heat preservation and heat insulation.

3. Sound absorption and sound insulation: Porous structure makes it have good sound absorption and sound insulation performance, which can create a high air tightness of the indoor space.

4. Environmental protection: in the process of manufacturing, transportation and using without pollution.

5. Seismic resistance: The same building structure has high seismic grade when using light refractory brick.

6. Machinability: Light weight, variety of specifications and size.

7. Refractoriness: fire performance of 100mm thick block can be up to 225 minutes, fire resistance performance of 200mm thick block can be up to 480 minutes.
