Brown and dark brown fire clay bricks have low refractoriness, but it does not mean the light colored fire clay bricks have high refractoriness, because the fire clay bricks also contain many white impurities, such as calcium oxide, potassium oxide, sodium oxide, etc.. If the bricks have a high content of these impurities, the color of bricks will be lighter, but it reduces the refractoriness.

 

Thus in the procurement of clay bricks, you can purchase yellow and yellowish fire clay bricks. However, the melting point of refractory bricks need precipitation, so as to ensure the sintering temperature has been reached.
